The adventures of day 3 begin and if I had known what kind of day it was going to be I would have moved right to day 4. I keep telling myself it is all about the adventure, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger...thanks Kelly Clarkson.
It started off great. We got away from Ivy Lea in good time and fueled up just down the road. We got into Quebec took the A30 around Montreal with tons of construction and major detours all the while listening to ABBA. Well maybe we should have been paying more attention to driving than singing. Somehow we stayed on the 30 instead of being on the A20 ending up 100 kms out of our way. Meanwhile, Calusa is not liking the bumps in the road and has been panting the whole time. We stop for directions, get diesel again, and back on the road heading for the A20. Don't forget we are pulling the 5th wheel. After another major slowdown for construction meanwhile it's raining we finally get on the A20.
What should have been a 318 mile trip turned out to be 415 miles. We finally get to our destination Camping Transit, Levis, Quebec which is just off the highway. We set up, take the dogs for a much needed walk, have supper then crash and burn. What a day I am tired.
